GENERAL OVERVIEW     This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus. Our associates work to provide the highest level of service in a knowledgeable, professional manner while striving constantly to exceed guest expectations.  Reporting to the Assistant Outlets Manager the primary areas of focus for this position are:

SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Embrace Delta Hotels’ Food and Beverage Standards and the Vision, Mission, and Brand Values.
• Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
• Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
• Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
• Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
• Server duties as assigned which may include Banquets, Grab n’ Go, In Room Dining, or Restaurant
• Contribute to the overall financial success of the Food and Beverage department through suggestive selling, up-selling, breakage/equipment control, and accurate financial reporting
• Other duties as assigned

The function of the Relief Food & Beverage Supervisor is to lead the shift and direct the F&B employees during the shift.

RELIEF FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure all department operational procedures are followed in accordance to standards
• Greet seat and service guests in accordance to Delta Standards.
• Assist with service and/or bussing when necessary to ensure superior guest satisfaction.
• Monitor the schedule daily, ensuring that staffing levels are maintained and consistent with business levels while following the guidelines created by the hotel.
• Maintain a positive working atmosphere for both team members and guests alike
• Follow through on guest requests and/or complaints.
• Participate in the development of the merchandising and marketing of all food & beverage services
• Liaise closely with the culinary team and promote teamwork between Culinary and Outlet teams.
• Relay suggestions about menu items and guest feedback to the Outlets Manager.
• Assist with the recruitment, selection, training and development of Outlet team members to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Assist with monthly team meetings; ensure proper follow up on issues requiring attention
• Ensure all financial reporting is maintained and accurate, including payroll and billing
• Actively participate and contribute to project work identified by the Outlets Manager

QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
• Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service
• Must be well organized, results oriented, able to work various scheduled shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, split shifts)
• Must be problem solver combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts.
• Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, or standing for long periods of time
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol; knowledge of wine service is an asset
• Previous F&B/Supervisory experience 
• Formal hospitality training an asset (i.e. degree or certificate program)
• Responsible Beverage Server Certificate
• Initial step toward being a supervisor/leader with Delta Hotels  in the future
