| GENERAL OVERVIEW This front-line position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer focus. Reporting to the Assistant Outlets Manager the primary areas of focus for this position are: RESPONSIBILITIES • Embrace Delta Hotels’ Food and Beverage Standards and the Vision, Mission, and Values. • Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests. • Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders. • Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings. • Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner. • Server duties as assigned which may include In Room Dining or Restaurant • Contribute to the overall financial success of the Food and Beverage department through suggestive selling, up-selling, breakage/equipment control, and accurate financial reporting • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES • Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance • Previous Food & Beverage server experience an asset, especially in the area of fine dining • Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills with a passion to continually anticipate and exceed guest expectations. • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. • Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service • Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts. • Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, or standing for long periods of time • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol • Knowledge of wine service is an asset • Responsible Beverage Server Certificate Hours and shifts will vary according to occupancy levels. | ||||||||
