The Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites Night Audit Team is responsible for anticipating & delivering exceptional guest experiences. They are responsible for the overnight operation of the Front Desk and balancing, posting daily charges to customer folios, master accounts, and house accounts and makes corrections as necessary.

The successful candidate will work 4 nights a week, 8 hour shifts, 11pm-7am.
Responsibilities include:

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Provide courteous and efficient telephone services including accurate message taking, delivering and tracking messages, guest mail, packages and other items as requested.
• Supports up-sell and perfect fill strategies while maintaining integrity.
• Perform the duties of the Guest Services Agent
• Prepare, check, and correct room rate variances by conducting thorough audits
• Assist with check-ins and check-outs when necessary
• Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment
• Ensure wake-up calls are accurately set for the morning
• Verify and balance daily charges to customer folios, master accounts, and house accounts and make corrections as necessary
• Balance the guest ledger postings
• Audit all Catering and SBCC billing before posting.
• Review all credit card transactions for proper authorizations and correct amounts
• Run computer through nightly processing running room & tax and processing sequence to reset for the next day use in balancing of applicable functions
• Distribute reports to the applicable departments
• Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
• Maintain an active knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures
• Contributes to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire safety training, and working in a safe manner.
• Ensure inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
• Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
• Consistently practices guest and associate privacy and security
• At all times projects a favorable image of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts to the public

• Other projects/duties as assigned and required
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
• Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year in guest or customer service environment
• Accounting background is an asset
• Previous Night Audit Experience an asset
• Ability to use standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office, and hotel systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Education in Hospitality and Tourism an asset
• Excellent guest, customer and associate relations skills
• Ability to multi task and prioritize while providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with minimal direction
• Able to take initiative, follow timelines and meet deadlines
• Positive, professional demeanor
• Strong computer & telephone abilities
• Able to operate PMS
