| Cook Delta Hotels by Marriott Dartmouth is a new full-service property located in the Burnside / City of Lakes Business Park. A corporate class hotel that will provide modern design, incorporating pride of place, the amenities today’s traveler requires and an ethos of exceptional guest service. We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team at this very exciting time in our history. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and certificates, · 2 to 5 years experience in a cook position or culinary experience · Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or comparable education preferred · Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation · Food-safe Certificate is an asset · Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes · Ability to work flexible hours, and special events This position's responsibility will include ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining hotel standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated, high performance team player, with strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. You must be highly organized, have great attention to detail, possess excellent verbal / written communication skills and have the proven ability to plan and prioritize.
