The Kitchen Lead is responsible for the overall daily preparation of all food items, set-up and
tear down of the breakfast buffet area, weekly evening social nights (The Mix), scheduling and ordering for the kitchen, and to maintain all eating and serving areas in accordance with hotel, brand and food safe standards and guidelines. 

 Essential Functions:
 
  • Set up and replenish buffet ensuring cleanliness and food safety
  • Ongoing preparation of breakfast buffet items throughout shift
  • Placing food orders to ensure par stocks are maintained at all times
  • Producing scheduling for Kitchen Attendants
  • Plan ingredient lists and preparation methods for weekly social nights (The Mix) as provided by Marriott
  • Circulate in the Hearth Room during breakfast to greet guests in the area and ensure Kitchen Attendants are maintaining standards
  • Clean, reset, bus tables in breakfast area
  • Coffee service as required
  • Clean, refill and reset the breakfast bar and kitchen area
  • Positive, outgoing team player at all times
  • Ensuring Marriott Policies and Procedures are followed at all times
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Accommodate guest requests courteously
  • Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment, while standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and operate in an organized and efficient manner
  • In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions determined by the manager
