Evening Guest Service Agent/Front Desk
Full Time
4:30pm- 12:00am shift
 
 Oceanstone Seaside Resort is located in Indian Harbour- 5 minutes from Peggy’s Cove and close to Hammonds Plains and Tantallon.
 
We are a 25-unit property and a premiere location for weddings, corporate events & retreats, or just a family or private getaway. Our property operates year around and we are looking for an experienced Gust Service/Front Desk Agent to join our team for this integral shift. This individual will be the main point of contact at the resort and respond to guest service, emergency situations and inquiries.
 
Reporting to the Director of Operations, our Evening Guest Service Agent will provide professional, attentive and efficient service to all our guests who visit Oceanstone.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • All aspects of guest service at the Resort.
  • Front Desk duties such as check in, check out, answering the phones, area information, and delivery of items.
  • Property walks and ensuring overall wellbeing of of the guests and accommodations.
  • Emergency response and or contacting the appropriate individuals/organizations in case of an emergency
  • Complete evening checklist
  • Daily use of computer, WebRez and Outlook
  • Ensure guest absolute satisfaction and follow up
  • Assisting of meeting set up in main lodge as required
  • General cleaning/clearing duties as assigned
  • Help create a positive work environment, through teamwork and cooperation with peers.
  • Contributes to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, working in a safe manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with minimal direction
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
 
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Hotel Front Desk or Night Audit Position
  • Proven ability to work on own with minimal supervision
  • Excellent Guest Service Skills
  • CPR/First Aid a definite asset
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment
  • Proven ability to multitask
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the resort
