The purpose of this job is to ensure that processing of the Property associate payroll is done on a timely and accurate basis.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·        Hospitality and Tourism or Business diploma required.
·        Payroll experience required with a computerized payroll system and T4’s.
·        Minimum CPA Level I required.
·        Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
·        Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
·        Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
·        Must be effective in resolving payroll related issues in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
·        Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
·        Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and associates.
 
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
 
·        Prepare daily labour reports.
·        Prepare month end reports.
·        Prepare payroll journal entries and payroll accruals
·        Reconcile payroll accounts monthly
·        Manage payroll system.
·        Prepare overtime reports.
·        Input all personnel action forms and database modifications.
·        Process garnishments.
·        Prepare union dues.
·        Complete HRDC/Revenue Canada forms.
·        Maintain payroll files.
·        Review weekly labour summaries submitted by department managers
·        Payroll projects as required.
·     Assist Controller and Assistant Controller with month end journal entries, house accounts,      Checkbooks, etc.
·    Assist Credit Manager with credit approvals.
·        Other duties as required.
