The Westin is currently looking to hire individuals who are outgoing, friendly and like to have fun while maintaining a strong work ethic. We currently have 2 openings for a Outlets Server (Casual Permanent).
JOB SUMMARY: The Server must provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service in elements on hollis and be responsible for payment settlement. Must have a flexible schedule- focus on evening shifts and be available weekends, holidays and until close of outlets in PM.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Previous serving experience required.
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Good wine knowledge helpful.
- Responsible Beverage Service required
- Knowledge of sanitation policies required.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
- Complete all sidework and cleaning duties as described in the SOPs.
- Have full knowledge of entire menu of all the outlets, as well as daily specials, desserts, etc.
- Take all guests orders, ring them up, and expedite the orders from the kitchen in a presentable and timely manner.
- Provide attentive service, focusing on guests’ needs.
- Receive payment for food and beverages provided and provide change and receipt to guests.
- Keep an accurate record of all checks and balances to be presented in a daily report.
- Deliver amenities to guests upon request.
- Keep dining area / workstations.
- Help clear tables when guests have completed their meals as well as after leaving their tables.
- Clear all trays from guestroom floors and service areas when possible.
- Other duties as required.
RATE OF PAY: $12.80/hr
