Guest Service Supervisor
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Dartmouth is a new full-service property located in the Burnside/City of Lakes Business Park.  A corporate class hotel that provides modern design, incorporating pride of place, the amenities today’s traveler requires and a philosophy of exceptional guest service. 

As the Guest Service Supervisor at Delta Hotels by Marriott Dartmouth you will be responsible for assisting the Guest Services Manager in setting direction and achieving all Front Office goals. 

Summary of Responsibilities:
• Act as the Manager on Duty during all scheduled supervisory shifts.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company and brand standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Help train Front Office associates to brand standards and on policies and procedures set up the hotel.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and morale in the Front Office.
• Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, and requests and secure payment for all guestrooms and amenities.
• Communicate guests’ needs to all appropriate departments.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery to guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of associates.
• Run and check daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns; follow up to ensure each has been met to guests' satisfaction.
• Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
• Lead the emergency response team in the absence of senior management.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Attend all scheduled shifts, including shift work and weekend work in accordance with the schedules.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail orientated and organized individual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a face paced environment.  Must possess critical thinking skills to tactfully and quickly resolve and defuse guest concerns and ensure the appropriate follow up.  Candidate must be comfortable using and learning computer systems designed to help streamline the guest experience. Previous experience in the hospitality industry and a Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Hospitality Management program or related discipline would be an asset.
