Revenue Manager

We are searching for an experienced and dynamic individual who is focused on exceptional Guest Service delivery and creating a positive, memorable experience.  The successful applicant will be a proven leader and team player with an exceptional eye for detail.  This position will be of interest to an individual who is a highly organized leader, a self-starter and has the ability to multi task and act as a liaison between the hotel, our guests, reservations and guest service teams.  They will support the Reservations Team by demonstrating a relentless desire to exceed guest expectations.


Supervise, lead, empower and coach the Reservations Team to ensure all operational and service standards and procedures are adhered to in order to maximize guest service, revenue, efficiency, and employee morale.  Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• To provide means of generating revenue for the hotel in order to maximize profitability.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain control of all group bookings and work closely with Sales Department to provide guest satisfaction.
• Practice effective yield management.
• Coordinate Daily Strategy Meetings
• Forecasting of room revenue
• Inventory balancing / overbooking
• With Guest Services Manager, provide Guest Services personnel with “Signature”, “Vision Excellence” and any other training to maximize revenue.
• Review and analyze competitive market set and industry trends.
• Coordinate and facilitate effective monthly communication meetings and training sessions (as required) with employees.
• Ensure all employees follow OHS procedures.
• Assist in implementation of incentive programs designed to increase employee morale and revenue.
• Actively participate in Management Team meetings, Yield Management meetings or other required meetings.
• Represent hotel to provide a positive image.
• Completing specified sections of Month End Report-indicated by GM.
• Monthly reports
• Complete 3-month end reports required by Tourism.
• Any other duties or projects as assigned by the General Manager


 • Extensive knowledge of Opera property Management System
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Minimum three years Guest Services or Sales experience in hospitality.
• Strong selling/telephone sales skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
