• Assists with marketing and advertising campaigns prepared in the advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
• Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with design to stay within brand standards.  Engage graphic designers/marketing agency where needed; as well inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Assisting management with day to day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested.
• Supporting the in-house marketing and design by coordinating and collating content
• facilitates additional marketing communications, such as flyers, brochures and exhibition-related projects
• Setting up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
• Assisting with the production of artwork and video, sourcing images, print buying and checking copy.
• Lead savvy and exciting social media marketing; posts, photos, advertising and leverage like minded businesses and organizations. Ensure it aligns with the company’s brand. Engaging with customers through the use of social media.
• Monitoring social media for customer comments both positive and negative.
• Developing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.
• Support GM with daily administrative tasks in relation to sales and marketing
• Help distribute marketing materials
• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems
• Assist with planning, writing copy, and creating layout for monthly eNewsletters, and assisting with supplemental targeted email blasts
• Assist with tracking of website update projects, communicating with developer as needed
• Assist with graphic design projects as needed, such as: resizing images, creating static online banners, help brainstorm creative ideas, etc.
• Assist with marketing deliverables for events and expos, including help organizing expo materials and signage, and other projects as needed

• Proficient in social media. Knowledge of available tools and platforms in the social media space and experience with social media for companies is a plus
• Previous sales and marketing experience is necessary
• Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with ability to learn other internal database programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and friendly, outgoing disposition
• Career oriented and desire for continuous learning and development.

• Some flexibility is required for evening/weekend work when necessary.
• Must have own vehicle and the willingness and ability to travel as required. Resort is located 45 minutes from Halifax.
• Proficiency in publisher and/or other graphic software(Adobe)
