Basic Purpose:

Reporting to the Director of Operations/Director of Sales, the Associate Event Manager is responsible to achieve hotel revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by negotiating and coordinating the execution of the meetings and conferences with other departments.
Major Responsibilities and Duties (to fulfill major purpose):

1. Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client, including space requirement, times, equipment, menus, billing instructions, etc.
2. To prepare and review bill for accuracy and approve payment method, including any adjustments
3. To maintain and submit detailed reporting of activities and productivity and to maintain accurate client records
4. Conduct site inspections/ with clients.
5. To effectively communicate all group details to operating departments
6. Complete appropriate paper work, i.e. Banquet Event Orders, Function sheets, change sheets, convention/group resume and distribute to Hotel departments.
7. Participate in pre-convention meetings and sales/catering meetings.
8. Work with other departments within the Hotel to provide quality service to customers.
9. Type change orders and postings for the Hotel reader boards as well as door tags
10. Organizes and maintains event order files
11. Coordinate file turnovers, assisting sellers
12. To execute all additional assignments determined by the Director of Sales or General Manager

• Has an understanding of customer service and is able to implement it on a day to day basis.
• Understands customers, builds organizational credibility and develops new revenue sources.
• Maintains a positive attitude, enthusiasm and celebrates success.
• Motivated individual who works well both independently and within a team.
• Experience in setting and meeting achievement oriented goals and standards.
  Working Conditions:
• Normal office working conditions.
  Experience, Training and Education (demonstrating requirements):
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Delphi.
