Future Inns Halifax is seeking a Guest Services Agent to become an integral member of our service team. As a GSA you will often be the Guest’s first and last impression of our property, so your skills in Guest Service and your professional and positive attitude will be your strongest contribution to our success.
Typical shifts are from 6:45am-3:15pm, and 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Based on business levels, other scheduled shifts may be created to reflect arrival and departure volume. Weekends, evenings and holidays are an important part of our hotel operation, so we look for agents who have flexible availability.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working with Opera, our hotel Property Management System
- Checking Guests in and out of the hotel
- Processing reservations over the telephone, fax and Internet
- Providing concierge service such as giving area information and directions
- Processing, reconciling and balancing credit cards, cash, and other forms of payment
- Following daily shift checklists
- Coordinating group arrivals, reservations and modifications
- Performing group and function billing
- Processing guest mail, faxes, packages, and dry cleaning requests
- Proactively interacting with other departments in the hotel to maximize effectiveness
