The Westin is currently looking to hire individuals who are outgoing, friendly and like to have fun while maintaining a strong work ethic. We are currently looking for Permanent Executive Housekeeper.

 QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have minimum 5 years as Leader in Housekeeping or Operations in a 4 star hotel or equivalent.
• Must have strong training background including being able to develop and deliver training programs.
• Must have a knowledge of sanitation.
• Computer literacy required.
• Degree in Hospitality and Tourism preferred.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly in a classroom and one-on-one setting.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Manage all hotel activities of the Housekeeping staff.
• Establish and maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program (i.e. floor care, hard cleaning, mattress flipping, etc.).
• Select and provide proper equipment and supplies for efficient and economical operation of the department.
• Establish and maintain standards of quality control.
• Review daily, weekly and monthly reports (i.e. labour, revenue, sales, occupancy, arrivals, VIP).
• Conduct public area inspections as well as room inspections to evaluate the physical condition of the hotel and recommend repairs, painting, and furnishings.
• Supervise all staff including hiring, training, evaluations, payroll, and scheduling in accordance with company policy.
• Inspects Laundry area daily.
• Tracking of Linen inventory, check for overloading of washers and dryers.
• Inspect and ensure Laundry area is keep cleaned.

RATE OF PAY: Commensurate with experience
