Position Overview:  
Welcome to Residence Inn Halifax Downtown Hotel. We are looking for an enthusiastic yet refined hospitality professional to help, lead a team of hard-working associates. Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Guest Services Supervisor  ensures that all guests receive prompt and attentive service with a keen attention to detail. 
Assists in training and supervising Rooms Division Team
Supporting a positive and seamless arrival and departure experience
Conducting performance evaluations to department team when necessary.
Fields guest complaints, conducting through research to develop the most effective solutions
Motivating associates to exceed guest expectations
Providing a positive and enjoyable workplace
Perform active role of Guest Service Representative as required
Lead by example and support team in providing excellent guest service,
Provide effective day to day communication and shift briefings with Guest Service team
Ensure that all departmental programs, service standards, policies and procedures are followed consistently and accurately, according to Residence Inn standards
Act as Manager on Duty when required
Provide employees with on-going support, coaching and feedback
Empower staff to make decisions to exceed guests’ expectations
Provide new employee training
Assist the Rooms Division Manager with achieving quarterly objectives and up-sell targets
Address all guest related concerns in a professional and courteous manner
Complete and follow up on all reports required
Complete daily Special Attention List, as required
Work with Employees to maximize revenue
Payroll submission as required
Other duties as assigned by Rooms Division Manager
Make recommendations to management regarding development, training, and corrective action of team members. 
Two years of Front Office Supervisory experience preferred in a large hotel setting.
Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be detailed oriented with good organizational skills.
Must have excellent customer relations skills and leadership capability.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
Must possess intermediate to advanced knowledge of office software and computer skills in order to become proficient with our property management systems.
