Job Summary:
The Server will be responsible for providing consistently high-levels of customer service, ensuring that each patron has an enjoyable and memorable dining experience.

 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Serve customers professionally, promptly and courteously and in accordance with Inverary Resort service standards
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen or bar staff
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the composition and preparation methods of all food and beverage menu items to ensure prompt and accurate assistance with guest inquiries
  • Ensure all service areas are clean, stocked and orderly at all times
  • Ensure customers are presented an accurate bill at the conclusion of the meal and that all shift paperwork, duties and responsibilities have been accurately completed
  • Communicate often with other team members, both in front and back of house, and assist one another to provide the best service and product to customers
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate trends, successes and areas of opportunity, helping resolve guest concerns as needed 
  • Actively drive sales by promoting menu items, emphasizing the unique location and resort experience, and by monitoring sales trends
  • Engage guests and act as an Inverary brand ambassador
  • Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of safety, personal hygiene and dress and comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Participate in meetings and training courses as required
  • To do any job that may be assigned from time to time
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A certificate or diploma in a related field preferred
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • (1) year of food service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of wine, beer and spirits an asset
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Highly flexible, both in the work environment and with weekly schedules 
  • Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Able to work well in high pressure situations while maintaining composure
  • Great problem solving and priority management 
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a positive team atmosphere 
  • Exceptional organization skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Must bring a great attitude, have an outgoing friendly personality, and be willing to learn 
  • Accountable, reliable and punctual 
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and professionally at all times
  • Ethical and acts with integrity
  • Computer literate, experience with Point of Sale System a definite asset
 
Working Conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer
  • Morning, evening, and weekend shifts as well as overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required
