Laundry Attendant
Laundry attendants provide excellent guest service and ensure that hotel guests and room attendants are provided with clean linens daily.
- Provide exceptional guest service by having a Yes I’d be pleased to help you attitude.
- To operate, clean, and maintain washers and dryers.
- To replenish laundry chemicals as required.
- To sort and separate soiled linens.
- To separate and fold clean linens.
- To restock all room attendants with clean linen twice daily.
- To assist room attendants with stripping guest room linens from check outs.
- To clean out lint trap behind washers.
- To clean out lint screens in the dryers daily.
- To dust, sweep and mop laundry room.
- To remove all garbage daily.
- To turn in all Lost and Found items to the housekeeping office daily.
- To report all deficiencies to your supervisor.
- To ensure all keys are signed out and in before leaving your shift daily.
- To report to work well groomed with a clean uniform and your name tag on at all times when on duty.
- To develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all departments and personnel.
- To perform additional tasks when required by your supervisor.
- To fill in as a room attendant when necessary during busy times.
a.Be able to lift linen & load/unload a 55 lb washer, up to 25 lbs at a time
b.Push/pull housekeeping and linen carts up to 50 lbs
c.Bend over repetitively to load/unload washers & dryers, fold linen, and strip beds
d.Stand for up to eight hours
e.Reach/Stretch overhead to clean higher areas, dust furniture, and stock linen shelves
f.Wear rubber, latex, or vinyl gloves
g.Shift work required, weekend work and evenings
