Maintenance Supervisor – Residence Inn Halifax Downtown
Residence Inn by Marriott Halifax Downtown is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for their busy hotel! Compensation is based on experience. Must have open availability, including nights and weekends.
Essential Job Functions
- Inspects all operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operating properly, efficiently and safely.
- Promptly responds to front desk reports of guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete so the front desk can perform “Courtesy Call Back” telephone calls.
- Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendations for repairs, as assigned: all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures and equipment.
- Maintains the grounds daily, including Guestrooms and parking levels in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
- Performs the “PMP” schedule on a timely basis, ensuring that all elements of the guest room meet the standards of the brand.
- Performs painting, carpentry, plumbing, emergency carpet cleaning and other jobs as necessary.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional,
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting,
- Carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
