The Laundry team is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotels’ linens. This is an excellent front-line position for someone looking to start a career in the hotel industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Sort soiled linens.
· Weigh laundry loads.
· Program, load and unload the industrial washers and dryers.
· Fold, sort and deliver clean linens.
· General care of equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions.
· Use and maintain cleaning products, materials, and equipment safely and correctly.
· Assist with linen inventory and record processed linens.

· Assist other departments and coworkers where necessary.
· Embrace all hotel standards and our Vision, Mission, and Values.
· Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.

· Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· High level of attention to detail and energy.
· Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
· Proven positive interaction skills
· Must be capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including but not limited to, lifting 25-50 lbs. at one time, pushing carts, standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, and enduring repetitive movements involving arms, shoulders, back, and wrists
· Reliable and flexible to work various shift schedules
· A class 5 driver’s license and the ability to drive the one-ton Laundry delivery truck is a definite asset.
Must be available for a variety of shifts as they will vary according to business levels but will include days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
