JOB SUMMARY:
Become a cook within our latest Food and Beverage outlet. Sosta our second location after Toronto! is a Fresh, Italian-influenced specialties that offer many delicious dishes such as wood-oven pizzas!

Under the supervision of the Chef, the cook will be responsible for the overall production, preparation & presentation of food items for the Altcetera café & Sosta pizzeria
 
YOUR ROLE:
  • Cook and prepare the necessary food items as directed and in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption to guest service
  • Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
  • Serve food in a timely fashion, offer refreshments of beverages when necessary
  • Keep work station clean and organized including fridges/freezers, counter tops and stove tops
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Operate all kitchen equipment and conduct themselves with safety in mind at all times
  • Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with hotel and government Food Safety guidelines
  • Report any and all deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products
  • Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Other tasks as requested
 
 
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Food Handler certificat an asset
  • An acute sense of time management and attention to detail
  • Able to lift/carry/push supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for up to 5 hours at a time
  • Experience in kitchen operation is an asset
