Position Description
As an Operations Manager, you will be reporting to the General Manager on a daily basis.
This is a permanent full-time position that requires you to be in the office Monday – Friday from 8am-4pm. After a probationary period, you are eligible to enroll in our benefits program. Please note that your salary will be negotiated based on your experience.
You will be responsible to assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations in all departments in the hotel, as well as any other tasks designated to you by the General Manager.

Position Responsibilities
Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
Communicate effectively with our team of department managers as well as staff and guests.
  • Develop strategic decisions and solutions. 
  • Develop and implement operational policies.
  • Promote a strong, positive work environment.
  • Assist with maintaining hotel ledgers such as guest ledger, city ledger, A/R ledger, deposit ledger, and any other financial statements.
  • Assist with front office procedures including all front desk duties and night audit procedures.
  • Oversee operational frameworks, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the accomplishment of the company's strategic and operational objectives.
  • Analyze financial information and utilize them to enhance profit.
  • Perform quality controls and screen KPIs.
  • Proving coaching, and constructive feedback to the Department Managers.
  • Assist with managing staff levels, hours, wages, contract labor to revenues.
  • Coordinate and assist with the management team to set or implement new procedures and policies.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, and to delegate responsibilities.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Establish pricing and contracts, build relationships with vendors and other organizations, and supervise purchasing.
  • Serve as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies such as police, fire, etc.
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities to maximize productivity, efficiency, and profits for the hotel.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven 7+ years of work experience as an Operations Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle customer’s complaints effectively.
  • Excellent working knowledge of management business software programs.
  • Ability to run a safe, injury or accident-free workplace.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Provide exceptional written and verbal communication, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually as and when required.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with unionized and un unionized employees.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time as per the requirement.
