Oceanstone Resort is a little slice of seaside heaven, just down the road from Peggy’s Cove. We are thrilled to announce that a world-class Hydrothermal Spa is also currently under development at our award-winning resort.
Reporting to the Guest Services & Security Lead, Operations Supervisors and General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Always provide exceptional service while responding to guest requests and various security situations that arise.
- Patrol resort at designated intervals throughout the night to ensure all areas are secure and property health and safety and noise guidelines are being followed.
- Report any Housekeeping or Maintenance deficiencies that are noted during rounds.
- Ensure resort rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
- Respond to any guest and security concerns, security breaches, hazards and emergencies and keep key resort leadership informed as necessary while liaising with additional support as required.
- Use the resorts Guest Concern or Security Incident Report templates to ensure key details and follow up for incidents are documented in detail.
- Write clear and comprehensive daily activity reports utilizing the Guest Services Log.
- Monitor video surveillance footage throughout night.
- Assist with other operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, professional demeanor and deportment.
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions and respond to emergencies under pressure.
- Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
- Physical ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is considered an asset).
- High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
