Reporting to the Tea Room Supervisor, the Tea Room Server is responsible for ensuring visitors receive friendly, timely and quality customer service while enjoying their dining experience. This individual can provide detailed and specific knowledge of all homemade traditional meal items offered on the McDaniel’s Tea Room menu. Dining staff are also responsible for interpreting the history of the Tea Room and providing general information about Sherbrooke Village history. McDaniel’s Tea Room, as core provider of food servicesat Sherbrooke Village, offers healthy, safe, and flavorful food. The Tea Room will be a highlight of the overall Village experience for visitors, with a shift towards heritage-inspired recipes and Victorian tea offerings.
The successful candidate must have:
High School Diploma
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Hospitality and Service trade
Ability to work with a POS (Point of Sale) system
Waitress/restaurant experience would be considered an asset
Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety guidelines & SV Code of Conduct & Ethics
Be in possession of a current food handling certificate, as mandated by the Province of Nova Scotia.
Criminal Reference Check & Child Abuse Registry.
Must wear uniform as stated by Sherbrooke Village
Must work schedule as provided by supervisor which includes weekends
Position: Full-Time, Seasonal with entitlement to annual recall Salary: $18.72 per hour for 35 hours/week, + 4% vac pay, 2% in lieu of benefits & share of tips Start Date:May 20th, 2025 for a minimum of 16 weeks Work Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30AM to 5PM
